Our club offers scholarships each year to outstanding high school seniors from the Washington DC area who will be attending the University of Illinois. The funding for these scholarships comes entirely from donations made by the members of our local alumni club. For 2010, our club will be awarding five $1,500 scholarships!

Our club's Scholarship Committee will be gathering on Saturday, April 10th to  review the applicants and select our winners based on the following:

• School Activities
• Community Activities
• Employment
• Leadership
• Personal Statement
• Letters of Recommendation
• Reader Judgement
• SAT/ACT Scores

All club members are invited to join our Scholarship Committee and assist in selecting our 2010 scholarship winners! If interested, please contact our Scholarship Director Phyllis Gron.
